FAQs
What is ApplyPro?
ApplyPro is a platform integrated with your ATS that reads every application submitted to your job postings and screens the CVs against your job requirements.
It generates a curated list of applicants rated as YES (interview-ready), NO (failed a must-have requirement), or MAYBE (exhibits high potential).
Why does ApplyPRO use YES, NO, MAYBE ratings instead of a score?
ApplyPRO mimics the decision-making process of a recruiter. But unlike a recruiter ApplyPRO can screen hundreds of CVs in minutes, promoting applicants who exhibit potential, and identifying the best interviewees.
Our research showed scoring to be misleading because an applicant could have great experience and tick all the requirement boxes (giving them a high score) but fail one must-have criteria. YES, NO, MAYBE ratings provide a clearer and more accurate assessment.
Do I have to enter my own screening criteria?
No, you don't have to. Our platform automatically determines the must-have and nice-to-have criteria based on your published job description.
Can I change or add to the screening criteria once candidates have applied?
Yes, you can amend the criteria and reapply it anytime. We encourage this to balance your results.
Too many "YES" responses might mean the criteria are too lenient, while no "YES" responses might indicate they are too strict.
Too many "MAYBE" responses suggest the criteria aren't specific enough.
Adjusting helps ensure you get accurate, data-driven results quickly.
Why do I need technology to screen CVs?
In-house recruiters receive an average of 250 applications per job. About 90% are irrelevant and rejected, 8-10% typically get consideration but only 2% reach the interview stage.
ApplyPRO identifies the 2% for interviews within minutes, allowing recruiters to spend more time identifying potential within the remaining 10% marked as MAYBE.
This efficiency saves huge amounts of time (more than 70%) and ensures the best candidates are not overlooked.
Does ApplyPRO reject candidates rated as NO?
No, ApplyPRO makes recommendations but leaves in-house recruiters in complete control of the final decision.
Why does ApplyPRO include MAYBE ratings instead of focusing only on YES results?
For increased Diversity. Traditional hiring emphasizes job experience requirements, which our research shows to be the BIGGEST limiter of diversity.
By using data to identify high-potential candidates, ApplyPRO customers are increasing interview diversity by up to 40%.
Is ApplyPRO the right choice for my team?
ApplyPRO was developed based on extensive market research with talent acquisition professionals. It offers significant time savings and enhances hiring diversity for businesses of all sizes.
However, recruiters suffering from high volumes of inbound job applications benefit the most from ApplyPRO's capabilities.
Is there a free trial available for ApplyPRO?
Yes, individual users can access a free account at any time with our STARTER plan, which comes with a limit of 500 applicant screenings per month.
When ready to upgrade, our GROWTH, TEAM and ENTERPRISE plans offer more credits and user accounts.
Does ApplyPRO use AI, and is it compliant with the new EU AI Act?
Yes, ApplyPRO uses AI, and it is 100% compliant with the new EU AI Act. The AI system is used to perform specific assessment and recommendation tasks, not to replace human decision-making.
